Loose Leash Canine exists to help dogs stay in their homes and help owners enjoy living with them.
Many behavior problems don’t start out severe. They grow when dogs don’t have clear guidance or when owners are given advice that doesn’t match real life. Over time, that confusion can turn into stress, frustration, and broken trust on both sides.
Our work focuses on giving dogs structure, clear communication, and consistency so they can settle, listen, and function in everyday life. The goal isn’t perfection. It’s a dog you can live with and trust.
Meet Eric, Owner and Head Trainer
Eric is the owner and head trainer at Loose Leash Canine. Like many owners, Eric didn’t start out with a perfect dog or a perfect plan. Early on, he learned that trying to train “a dog” instead of training the dog in front of you often leads to frustration and stalled progress. Different dogs bring different genetics, drives, and experiences into the home, and ignoring that reality creates problems.
Today, Eric works hands-on with puppies, adult dogs, and behavior cases, helping owners understand their dog’s behavior and giving them a clear path forward. His focus is practical training that improves life at home and in the real world, not just during sessions.

At Loose Leash Canine, training is built around clarity, structure, and consistency. Dogs are taught how to make good choices, handle everyday situations, and settle into their role at home and in public.
